On 8th Aug’ 2016 at about 0545 hrs, the Forward Defended Location Bhuriwala received heavy fire from the Border Action Team of Pakistan. The exemplary leadership displayed by SI Mahendra Yadav, motivated his men to retaliate ferociously which resulted in repulsing the fire. In the process, Sub Inspector Mahendra Yadav was injured and evacuated to Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
