On 13.02.2016, Constable Harikesh Prasad was moving with area domination patrol of operational base Sayam in general area of Sangam Bazar. This party was fired upon by naxal. Constable Harikesh Prasad came under direct fire and was hit by the bullet. Harikesh and his team retaliated heavily but Naxals managed to escape. Constable Harikesh was critically wounded and was airlifted to Raipur, where he breathed his last.
