On 8th Jan 2016, in the Naxal affected district of Koraput (Odisha), a patrol party went for domination operation in the village Danda Bari. Constable Sibasis Panda volunteered as a guide, the most hazardous job in this improvised explosive device infected area. While returning, naxal targeted the party with an improvised explosive device. Const Sibasis Panda took full brunt of the improvised explosive device Blast and saved his comrades, in the unmatched display of esprit-de-corps.
