On 13 Apr 2016 Rifle Man Gokul Chand Yadav was part of Area Domination Patrol at Transit Camp Minuthong. Individual sustained multiple splinter injuries in an Improvides Explosive Device blast which occurred at General Area Minuthong, Imphal (Manipur) at 1905 hours while carrying out area domination. He was immediately evacuated to the nearest hospital but attained matyardom at 2025 hours on 13 Apr 2016.
