Constable Palash Mondalunder command of Shri Nitin Kumar, Deputy Commandant was on a Search and Destroy Operation on July, 18, 2016, when Maoists triggered series of Improvised Explosive Device and engaged in heavy firing at ‘Dumari Nala’ in District Aurangabad (Bihar). The attack was retaliated promptly by the troops. In the fierce gun fight which followed between CRPF men and Maoists, Constable Palash Mondal fought valiantly but suffered serious injuries and succumbed to his injuries laying down his life for the Nation.
