Constable Sinod Kumarunder command of Shri Nitin Kumar, Deputy Commandant was on a Search and Destroy Operation on July 18, 2016, when Maoists triggered series of Improvised Explosive Device and indulged in heavy firing at ‘Dumari Nala’ in District Aurangabad (Bihar). The attack was retaliated promptly by the troops. In the fierce gun fight with the Maoists, Constable Sinod Kumar fought bravely but succumbed to the serious injuries sustained in the Improvised Explosive Device blast and laid down his life in the line of duty.
