Constable Diwakar Kumar under command of Shri Nitin Kumar, Deputy Commandant, was on a Search and Destroy Operation on July, 18, 2016, when Maoists triggered series of Improvised Explosive Device and engaged in heavy firing at ‘Dumari Nala’ in District Aurangabad (Bihar). The attack was retaliated promptly by the troops. In the ensuing fierce gun fight with the Maoists, Constable Diwakar Kumar fought bravely but succumbed to the serious injuries sustained and attained martyrdom. rn
