Constable Ravi Kumar under command of Shri Nitin Kumar, Deputy Commandant was on Search and Destroy Operation on July 18, 2016, when Maoists triggered series of Improvised Explosive Device followed by heavy firing at ‘Dumari Nala’ in District Aurangabad (Bihar). The attack was retaliated promptly by the troops. In the ensuing fierce gun fight with the Maoist, Constable Ravi Kumar fought valiantly but suffered serious injuries. He succumbed to his injuries and laid down his life in the line of duty.
