Head Constable Anil Kumar Singh under command of Shri Nitin Kumar, Deputy Commandant, was on a Search and Destroy Operation on July 18, 2016, when Maoists triggered series of Improvised Explosive Device followed by heavy firing at ‘Dumari Nala’ in District Aurangabad (Bihar). In the fierce gun fight which ensued with the Maoists, Head Constable Anil Kumar Singh fought valiantly. However, he succumbed to serious injuries sustained in the Improvised Explosive Device blast and made supreme sacrifice for the Nation.
