No. 997225161, Head Constable (GD) Sanwala Ram Vishnoi of 65 Bn BSF, was deployed with 15TH Congo contingent at Madiba Camp, Beni, DR. CONGO w.e.f. 04.05.2022 and further deployed at Butembo w.e.f. 02.06.2022. Locals had given a call for demonstration and agitation against MONUSCO throughout DR CONGO for a week starting from 25th July 2022 (Monday). On 26th July 2022 the demonstration turned violent in Butembo. The camp of Morroco rapid deployment Bn where BSF platoons were stationed was attacked by armed rebels with help of automatics. BSF troops retaliated bravely and strongly . In retaliation to the attack, the Head Constable (GD) Sanwala Ram Vishnoi showing his bravery and indomitable courage, fired continuously on the militants and confronted them but in the end he made supreme sacrifice and laid down his life in the line of duty while fighting with armed rebels during his active deployment in UN Mission at DRC
