| Brief of Incident: |
On 21/06/2022 at about 0630 hrs, 02 Platoon of G/19 Bn were deputed for performing ROP duties from Bhainsadhani to Padhara under PS Boden, Distt-Nuapa... ada, Odisha. Pickets have been placed as per operational tactics adopting all security measures. Suddenly at about 1415 hrs Naxals opened heavy fire on picket No. 03 and engaged troops from 03 directions. Deployed troops retaliated bravely and a fierce gun fight took place with the naxals. Fierce retaliation by the troops forced naxals to retreat into the jungle with casualties. In this encounter, our troops showed exemplary courage, co-ordination and fighting spirit which forced naxals to flee into the jungle.
