No. 174501783 CT(GD) Vivek Tiwari, 159 Bn BSF was deployed at BOP Kutadah. He was deployed for ACP duty in the intervening night of 09/10 Jan 2022 in the area of responsibility Hariya Nallah. At around 0510 hrs while performing duty he heard some sound near by and found that some miscreants were trying to sneak cattles towards Bangladesh by taking advantage of dense fog and darkness. Alert Ct Vivek Tiwari challenged them and warned to stop but they refused to do so. Sensing the threat of smuggling he fired 02 rounds in self defence and later advanced towards those miscreants. During this hot scuffle Ct Vivek Tiwari was overpowered by miscreants and pushed to river. By the time other Jawans reach at the spot in his help. Ct Vivek drowned in deep water of Hariya Nala and due to this he martyred. Ct Vivek Tiwari presented indominate courage and sacrificed his life on the line of duty.
