IRLA No. 10797556 Shri Rajesh Kumar, Dy Commandant, 84 Bn BSF, on deputation to Jharkhand Jaguaar, leading a crack team of Jharkhand Jaguaar during a special joint ops launched by Jharkhand Police, Jharkhand Jaguaar and CRPF against Naxalites hiding in general area of Village-Gulariatand, Nawadih, Distt-Latehar, Jharkhand on 28.09.2021, came under heavy volume of fire of naxal from multiple directions. Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Dy Commandant sustained multiple bullet injuries while leading his team in successfully retaliating the naxal assault. He was evacuated to Ranchi for treatment but succumbed to the injuries. Shri Rajesh Kumar, DC laid down his life in the alter of duty while gallantly fighting the armed naxal exhibiting raw courage and highest order of devotion, dedication and commitment in the best traditions of the force.
