On 13 November 2021, Rifleman (General Duty) N Khatnei Konyak was part of Commandant Quick Reaction Team and was moving from Beheng company to Singhat company. At around 1115 hrs, at general area 8 Kms North of Beheng company the column came under heavy fire by the insurgents. Rifleman (General Duty) N Khatnei Konyak without prejudice to his own safety continued to fight valiantly wherein he succumbed due to multiple bullet injuries, thereby making supreme sacrifice for the nation.
