No. 891001623 (Late) HC(GD) Nakul Sarkar, 96 Bn BSF attached with Ftr HQ BSF Punjab, was deployed on law and order duty in the severely COVID affected area of Punjab. On 26.03.2021 at about 2100 hrs, HC(GD) Nakul Sarkar was admitted to CH BSF Jalandhar due to difficulty in breathing, low SPO2, cough with expectoration and General weakness. He was given emergency treatment but no improvement was noticed. Thereafter, on the same day he was referred to Global Hospital Jalandhar for better treatment. The individual expired on 30.03.2021 while under treatment. HC(GD) Nakul Sarkar laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life at 0745 hrs on 30.03.2021 as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
