Constable Sachin Kumar was performing Search Operation alongwith his party in the forest area of Chintagupha in District Sukma (Chhattisgarh) on August 26, 2016. While searching the area, he suffered serious injuries in an Improvised Explosive Device blast planted by the Maoists and later succumbed to them on September 01, 2016, laying down his life in the line of duty.
