No. 021468883 (Late) Ct (GD) Raj Kumar, 64 Bn BSF, deployed at BOP R C Nath, Nalkata, Dist-Dhalai, Tripura and was the part of border fence checking party, suffered serious bullet injuries on 03.08.2021 at about 0630 hrs while on duty. The party was fired upon by a group of heavily armed militants while the party was checking the fencing in the area between BOP R. C. Nath and BOP Jalabasti, ref BP No.2285/MP. Despite being seriously wounded, he retaliated strongly and returned the fire effectively, ultimately rendered supreme sacrifice on the line of duty, exhibiting indomitable spirit, extreme valour, utmost dedication and devotion in the service of the nation.
