No. 873433961 (Late) SI(RO) Rakesh Kumar Singh of 159 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, deployed on duty in the severely COVID affected endemic area of New Delhi reported being unwell due to complaints of fever, breathlessness and abdominal pain on 14.04.2021 and was immediately evacuated to FHQ Hosp-II STS BSF Tigri. He was referred to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital Mangolpuri, admitted there, subjected to RTPCR test and found Covid-19 Positive on 17.04.2021. He succumbed to the infection on 20.04.2021 at about 0355 hrs while under treatment for Covid-19 in the hospital. (Late) SI(RO) Rakesh Kumar Singh laid down his life on the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
