No. 130607375 (Late) CT/WC Satish Kumar of 82 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, deployed on border duty in the severely COVID affected pandemic area of Seemanagar (WB) complained of fever with swelling in neck area on 21.04.2021 and was admitted at Composite Hospital BSF Seema Nagar. He was further referred to District Hospital, Krishnanagar on 23.04.2021 and admitted there. However, in view of his deteriorating health condition, he was evacuated to Manorama Hospital, Ranaghat on 26.4.2021 and admitted there. He was subjected to RTPCR test on 28.04.2021 and found COVID-19 positive. He was further referred to Covid Care Centre and evacuated to Composite Hospital BSF Kolkata on 28.04.2021 and further admitted at CNCI Kolkata. He succumbed to the infection on 05.05.2021 at about 1900 hrs while under treatment for Covid-19 in CNCI Kolkata. CT/WC Satish Kumar laid down his life on the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
