A Central Reserve Police Force bus carrying Constable Rajesh Kumar and others on board, was returning from duty on June 25, 2016, was attacked by 02 Lashkar-e-Tayyaba militants at Farishtabal under police station Pampore, District Awantipora (Jammu and Kashmir), which was retaliated bravely by the troops. He succumbed to the bullet injuries sustained in the militant attack and attained martyrdom.
