A CRPF bus carrying Constable Satish Chand and others on board, while returning from duty on June 25, 2016, was attacked by 02 Lashkar-e-Tayyaba militants at Farishtabal under police station Pampore, District Awantipora (J&K), which was retaliated promptly by the troops. Despite sustaining bullet injuries in initial firing, Constable Satish Chand fought bravely against the militants but succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom in the line of duty. rn
