| Brief of Incident: |
On a specific intelligence from Civil Police a search and cordon operation/ambush was launched from Tarrem PS, Bijapur in the forest area of Tekalguriam, in which 06 teams of 210 Cobra BN along with Coys of 153 BN, 168 BN, Platoon of 241 Bastariya battalion, DRG and STF participated. On 03-04-2021 at around 1130 hrs Cobra team participating came under the heavy firing of naxals. Cobra troops retaliated bravely and a fierce gun battle ensued in which Cobra troops inflected heavy causalities on naxals. In the encounter, No 145144349 CT/GD Routhu Jagadish got seriously injured, despite being injured he fought valiantly and continued to fire on naxals. Though his exemplary courage he not only inflicted casualties on the naxals but also saved lives of his team mates and sacrificed his life in the line of duty. Thus maintaining the highest tradition of CRPF CT/GD Routhu Jagadish displayed raw courage and made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the Nation.
