A CRPF bus carrying Head Constable Jagtar Singh and others was returning from duty on June 25, 2016, when it was attacked by 02 Lashkar-e-Tayyaba militantsat Farishtabal under police station Pampore, District Awantipora (J&K), which was retaliated promptly by the troops. Despite sustaining bullet injuries in initial firing, Head Constable Jagtar Singh fought valiantly against the militants. He later succumbed to his injuries and laid down his life for the Nation.
