No. 859770167 (Late) CT(GD) Jeetan Das of 163 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on Law and Order duty at Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He complained of fever, cough, body ache and breathing problem on 08.12.2020. He was immediately evacuated to Sector Hospital BSF Srinagar on 08.12.2020 at about 1115 hrs. He was subjected to Covid Test conducted at SHQ Hospital Srinagar and was found positive (Rapid Antigen Test). He was further referred to Composite Hospital BSF, Srinagar (Covid Care Centre) and admitted there. He succumbed to the infection at about 1230 hrs on 15.12.2020 while under treatment at Covid Care Centre. (Late) CT(GD) Jeetan Das laid down his life on the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
