No. 870067581 (Late) SI(Min) Prasanta Kumar Patra of SHQ BSF Indreshwar Nagar, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on Law and Order Duty along Indo-Pak International Border in the severely COVID affected endemic area of Indreshwar Nagar, J and K. He was declared Covid-19 positive on 21.09.2020 and kept under isolation/Covid Care Centre in SHQ BSF Indreshwar Nagar. On 01.10.2020 he developed breathlessness with weakness and loss of appetite with SPO2 86 percentage then immediately referred to Chest Disease Hospital, GMCH Jammu. He succumbed to the disease on 09.10.2020 at about 1035 hrs while under treatment for Covid-19 in GMCH, Jammu. SI(Min) Prasanta Kumar Patra laid down his life on the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
