| Brief of Incident: |
On 28 nov 2020 at around 2050 Hrs based on hard input a search and area domination operation was launched by the troops of 206 COBRA BN in general area of village Tadmetla of Chhattisgarh While Sh Nitin P Bhalerao, AC tactically moving towards the target at around 2050 hrs an IED blast took place in nearby jungle area of village Tadmetla and the troops came under blast impact Sh Nitin P Bhalerao AC sustained injuries but he refused to give up and brought fire on the insurgents and forcing them to flee from the incident site thereby saving the lives of other soldiers Immediately he was given life saving First Aid and evacuated from blast site to Raipur by Chopper where Shri Nitin P Bhalerao AC succumbed to injuries around 0340 Hrs As per the highest tradition of CRPF Shri Nitin P Bhalerao displayed raw courage made supreme sacrifice in service of the Nation
