No. 858770498 (Late) Insp(GD) Sribaschandra Pal of STC BSF Baikunthpur, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on duty at STC BSF Baikunthpur in severely COVID affected endemic area of Baikunthpur, West Bengal. He complained of fever and was referred to CH, BSF Kadamtala on 02.09.2020. He was admitted and investigated in CH Kadamtala and found positive for COVID-19 on 03.09.2020. He complained of pain in abdomen, headache, cough, loose motion and was further admitted to Desun Hospital Siliguri (Covid Hospital) on 07.09.2020 and shifted to Life Line Medical Research and Cancer Institute, Multi-Speciality Hospital, Siliguri on 13.09.2020. He was re-tested for COVID-19 on 16.09.2020 and was again found positive. He succumbed to the infection on 24.09.2020 at about 0100 hrs while under treatment in hospital. Insp(GD) Sribaschandra Pal laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
