No. 901736530 (Late) HC(GD) Narsinghpal Singh of 185 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on operational duty along Indo-Pak International Border in the severely COVID affected endemic area of Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur, Punjab. He complained of cough, fever and dysponea on 25.09.2020 and his SPO2 was 94 percentage in room air condition. Accordingly, he was subjected to RT/PCR test on 26.09.2020 and found positive. He was immediately evacuated to Covid Care Centre, Dharamshala (HP). He was further referred to Govt. Medical College and Hospital Tanda, Kangra (HP) on 29.09.2020 and was admitted there. He succumbed to the infection on 04.10.2020 at about 1845 hrs while under treatment for Covid-19 in GMCH, Tanda (HP). HC(GD) Narsinghpal Singh laid down his life on the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
