No. 0112211201 CT(GD) Hemendra Singh Meena of 95 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on operational duty in severely COVID affected endemic area of Gurgaon, Haryana and Delhi. He complained of fever on 21.09.2020 and was admitted in Unit Hospital where he was diagnosed as a case of dengue fever. Thereafter, on 26.09.2020 he was detected as COVID-19 Positive as well and was shifted to Isolation/ Corona wards for further treatment He succumbed to the infection on 27.09.2020 at about 1035 hrs in spite of best efforts. CT(GD) Hemendra Singh Meena laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
