No. 881061121(Late) CT(COB) Soginder Das of 39 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on operational duty along Indo-Bangladesh International Border in the severely COVID affected endemic area of Roshanbagh, West Bengal. He complained of breathlessness and body ache at about 0745 hrs on 15.08.2020. He was evacuated to SHQ BSF Behrampur and further to MatriSadan Louis-19 Hospital Behrampur where he was tested for Covid-19 and found positive on 17.08.2020. He succumbed to the disease on 19.08.2020 while being admitted in the hospital and his health was ascribed to Corona Virus infection. CT(COB) Soginder Das laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
