No.978330161 (Late) HC(GD) Suresh Chandra Barman of 35 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on operational duty along Indo-Bangladesh International Border in the severely COVID affected endemic area of Baishnavnagar, West Bengal. He was admitted to Malda Medical College and Hospital with complaints of uneasiness and fever and succumbed to the infection on 27.08.2020 at about 0855 hrs in spite of best efforts at the hospital. HC (GD) Suresh Chandra Barman laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in COVID-19 environment.
