No. 980079962 HC GD Basant Kumar of 182 Bn BSF, a Corona Warrior, was deployed on law and order duty at Imphal Manipur. He complained of abnormal body movement and breathing problem on 13.08.2020 at about 1830 hrs. He was immediately evacuated to RIMS Hospital Imphal Manipur. On 14.08.2020 at about 0200 hrs, he was referred to Shija Hospital and Research Institute Pvt Ltd, Imphal Manipur where COVID test was conducted and he was found Covid-19 Positive. Further at about 0500 on 14.08.2020 he was returned back to COVID Care Centre ICU of RIMS Hospital Imphal Manipur. He succumbed to the infection at about 2200 hrs on 07.08.2020 while under treatment at AGMC and GBP Hospital Agartala, Tripura. HC GD Basant Kumar laid down his life in the line of duty under the global pandemic situation due to corona virus infection and sacrificed his life as a consequence of his active deployment in Covid-19 environment in the State of Manipur
