| Brief of Incident: |
On 17/08/2020, One section of F/119 Bn under command of SI/GD Surendra Bahadur along with Civil Police representative was deployed for L/O Picket duty at Nawan Morh, Kreeri, Dist-Baramulla from 07.50 hrs. At around 0930 hrs, the party suddenly came under heavy fire of the militant. The deployed party of F/119 Bn immediately took position and retaliated back vehemently. Major thrust of militant fire was at the place where No. 145025092 CT/GD Sharma Lavkush Sudarshan had taken position. Despite getting injured he retaliated the fire swiftly and was able to injure the militants who had attacked the party, in face of imminent danger to his life. The effective retaliation of CT/GD Sharma Lavkush Sudarshan and his party forced militants to flee however in this ensuing process CT/GD Sharma Lavkush Sudarshan attained Martyrdom in the line of his duty.
