CT/GD Munna of 170 Bn was attached with special action team of DIG(OPS) Bijapur. On the basis of the input, a Spl Joint ops was planned by DIG(OPS) Bijapur and SP, Bijapur. On 11/05/2020 at about 1410 hrs. SAT of DIG(OPS) Bijapur under command Insp Lalan Kuma alongwith Civil Police while moving through the general area of village-Upipal, PS-Mirtur, Dist-Bijapur came under heavy fire of Naxals form three sides who were sitting in ambush. Constable Munna Yadav fought aggressively and bravely with utmost control, retaliated towards the direction of fire and could break the ambush. During exchange of fire between Maoist and special action team Constable Munna Yadav received bullet injury on left side of his face and attained martyrdom.
