On 16 Oct 2019 at about 0935 hrs No. 931065855 HC(Dvr) Mukesh Chand while clearing of wild growth and sarkanda ahead of Border Fencing through BSF Fencing Gate No. J 52 in the general area of BP No. 805 10 D and in front of FDP No. 04 10 Ex- BOP Ommen with tractor(Farmtrac) unable to judge a small depressed ground and lost the control on the tractor. Resultantly, tractor rolled down on the depressed ground and managed to jump out from the tractor but his head came partially under the tractor even though wearing helmet but sustained grievous injury. He was immediately evacuated to PHC Sohanjan where administered first aid and further shifted to GMC Jammu. The patient is in coma and required ventilator and the facility not available in GMC hospital, hence, he shifted to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospitall, Katra (Jammu) for further treatment. On 22 Oct, 2019, he succumbed due to grievous injuries and attained martyrdom at about 0820 hrs.
