On Feb 20, 2016, Head Constable Raj Kumar Rana was moving in a convoy when it was attacked by militants near Jammu Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (on NH-1A), Pampore, District Pulwama, J&K. He along with other troops retaliated the attack bravely. During the encounter, Head Constable Raj Kumar Rana suffered serious bullet injuries and laid down his life for the Nation.
