| Brief of Incident: |
On 18/04/2020, 02 Secs of F/179 Bn CRPF U/C HC/GD Bishwajit Ghosh were deployed for Law and Order duty at Ahadbaba Crossing, Sopore, Baramula(Jammu and Kashmir). At about 1726 hrs, when the troops were tactically changing their duties unknown militants opened indiscriminate fire on them. Troops immediately responded back forcing militants to run away from the incident site. Injured personnel were immediate rushed to 22RR hospital where No. 041639015 CT/GD Chandrakant Bhagawantrao Bhakare was declared brought dead. Thus he attained martyrdom in the line of his duty.
