No. 145110221 CT/DVR Naveen Kumar was posted in 144
BN CRPF and further attached with the office of the DIGP Srinagar North, Jammu and Kashmir for operational duties. On 15/12/2019 he was on his way from Jammu to Srinagar along with DIGP, Srinagar North due to some operational commitment. While his vehicle was crossing mile stone No.165 at Banihal, a highly landslide prone area at on altitude of about 3873 Feet above sea level, a heavy land slide occurred at NH-44, under PS-Ramban, District Ramban, (Jammu and Kashmir). In this landslide a very big Boulder hit and crushed the vehicle which was driven by CT/DVR Naveen Kumar killing him on the spot.
