Regt.no 100630995 UIN 14140974 CT GD Rayaz Ahmad Gorjar Khatana posted in B- coy of this unit reported to his Coy Commander on 01/03/2019 That his house had been damaged due to heavy cross border shelling from Pakistan side requested for 06 days of casual leave w e f 02/03/2019 to 09/03/2019 with permission to avail Sundays on 03/03/2019 10/03/2019 Subsequently his leave was sanctioned by the Coy Commander B coy and the said Constable GD proceed casual leave on 01/03/2019,a telephonic call from his brother was received, in which he informed that the house of regt No 100630995 CT GD Rayaz Ahmad Gorjar Khatana has been hit again by heavy cross border shelling from Pakistan side in which the said CT GD had been severely injured he also informed that both the legs of CT GD Rayaz Ahmad Gorjar Khatana had received severe injuries from splinters of shells The said official was immediately evacuated to hospital Baramulla for first aid and then shifted to SKIMS Soura for further better treatment On dated 18/03/2019 the doctors of SKIMS Soura informed that there is necrosis in the left leg of CT GD Rayaz Ahmad Gojar Khatana and that they were left with no option other than to amputate the left leg of the patient Subsequently a surgery was performed in the night of 18/03/2019 and the left leg of CT GD Rayaz Ahmad Gojar Khatana was amputated from above the knee The individual was recovering after the surgery but his condition started deteriorating on the intervering night of 19/20 march 2019 He was immediately shifted to ICU and placed on life support system A team of doctors tried their best to save CT GD Rayaz Ahmad Gojar Khatana but could not succeed CT/GD Rayaz Ahmad Gojar Khatana took his last breath at about 0800 hrs on 20/03/2019 at SKIMS Soura
