On 14/02/2019, CRPF convoy was plying at National Highway (Jammu to Srinagar) near Lethpora, Distt- Pulwama (JK). At about 1530 hrs, an explosive laden vehicle rammed into convoy and IED blasted by the fidayeen militants. One of the CRPF bus carrying Jawans was hit upon in the blast. As a result, No. 941150816 HC/GD Maneswar Basumatary of 98 Bn, CRPF who was travelling in the Bus laid down his life in the line of duty and attained martyrdom.
