Constable Mangesh Balpande was on a Road Search Operation on March 11, 2017, at Bheji Kottacheruvu Axis, District - Sukma (Chhattisgarh). Bheji-Kottacheruvu axis, Police Station Bheji, District Sukma (Chhattisgarh) Maoists triggered Improvised Explosive Device blasts and opened heavy fire on the troops. Constable Mangesh Balpande sustained serious injuries and succumbed to them laying down his life for the Nation.rn
