| Brief of Incident: |
On 15th January 2019 at about 1045 hrs, Shri Vinay Prasad, Assistant Commandant, (IRLA No. 11112938) of 19 Bn BSF, while supervising the maintenance work of Loop Hole of mound No. 08/1074 at BSF BOP Pansar, a sniper fire from Pakistan side hit him left side of his stomach. Officer was immediately evacuated to Civil Hospital, Hiranagar and further referred to Military Hospital, 166 Satwari, Jammu for medical treatment but he succumbed to grievous injuries and attained martyrdom at about 151310 hrs.
