No. 114031350 Const (GD) Mohd. Ramzan Parray of 73 Bn BSF proceeded on 37 days earned leave w.e.f. 26.08.2017 to 03.10.2017 to his home town at village Hajin, Distt- Bandipur (J and K). During leave period, on 27 Sept 2017 at about 2100 hrs, while returning from his aunts house in village Hajin, a group of heavily 5-6 armed militants intercepted Const Mohd Ramzan Parray and tried to abduct him. Const Mohd Ramzan Parray valiantly countered the armed militants but militant fled away due to gathering of local people.Thereafter, at about 2145 hrs, four militants entered his house with intention to abduct him but Const Mohd Ramzan Parrey and his family members bravely countered the heavily armed militants. Const Mohd Ramzan Parray overpowered one of the militants but the other militant fired gun-shot at him from point-blank range resulting in severe gun-shot injuries to him. He was immediately evacuated to CHC Hajin but Const Mohd Ramzan Parray attained martyrdom enroute
