| Brief of Incident: |
On 18th Sept 2018 at about 180840 hrs Patrol-cum-maintenance party led by No.85533033 SI Sushil Sarkar alongwith 07 ORs including No. 901728762 HC Narender Singh and 01 tractor entered through fence gate for patrolling and maintenance work ahead of fence in between BP No.22 MP to BP No.23 MP. At about 181040 hrs, 4-5 rds were fired by new tower from Pak side and after 14 to 15 minutes, again a burst of 6-7 rds fired on the party. Party regrouped at mound No.713 but No.901728762 HC Narender Kumar alongwith his INSAS Rifle did not turn up. At about 181155 hrs during search operation, cap and helmet of HC Narender Kumar were recovered. Coy Commander level flag meeting was conducted at about 181600 hrs during which the Pak Rangers denied any involvement in missing BSF personnel. At about 181720 hrs, Pak Rangers were again asked for joint search/ verification but they did not respond satisfactorily. At about 181920 hrs, during search, BSF party found the bullet-ridden, mutilated dead body of No.901728762 HC Narender Kumar lying near BP No.22
