| Brief of Incident: |
On 13/07/2018 at about 1045 hrs, troops of 96 Bn deployed in Achabal market area. A group of militants opened indiscriminate fire on the troops from the boundary wall and dense orchard. CRPF troops retaliated the fire immediately. During the cross firing, No. 880898873 ASI/GD Mishri Lal Meena and No. 125084806 CT/GD Sandeep Kumar Yadav of 96 Bn CRPF sustained bullet injury. They were immediately evacuated to PHC Achabal, Anantnag (J and K) but attained martyrdom due to grievous bullet injury in the line of duty for the cause of Nation.
