On 12/05/2018 at about 0000 hrs, specific information received from state police about the presence of 2-3 militants in the area of village Chinarbag Pulwama. On getting above information, a special joint operation (CASO) was planned in the area of village Chinarbag. Troops reached at village Chinarbag at around 0020 hrs. CT/GD Mandeep Kumar of SOG-182 who was placed in the inner cordon got bullet injuries on his hand and leg simultaneously by the fire of the militants. As a result of which, CT/GD Mandeep Kumar sustained serious injuries and laying down his life in the line of duty.
