At around 2240 hrs when the combined party of B and F 212 was moving from Kistaram tactically towards Karigundam village through forest area (around 2.5 km from Kistaram Camp), the party noticed three torch lights directed towards them and were advancing. Two persons with torch lights stopped about 50-70 m away and were trying to focus and locate on this moving party. Suddenly these torches started blinking in a certain fashion and it resulted in immediate fire from naxals on to this party. In the meantime on seeing the torch lights our party had stopped and taken tactical position. Simultaneously, the party was attacked by two IEDs/UBGL/Grenade. Our troops immediately retaliated the fire. It was found that due to the naxals fire No 850868413 ASI/GD Anil Kr. Maurya of B/212 got severely hit by bullets and blast injury.
