| Brief of Incident: |
On 7th March 2018, Constable Amresh Kumar while moving with a fighting column of 134 Bn BSF at No.2 lead behind his Commander, got trapped in an ambush planned by naxals in Matla reserved forest of District Kanker (Chhattisgarh). Naxals triggered series of IED blasts and started heavy firings on BSF party. He bravely retaliated to the naxal firing thereby saving lives of other troops and forcing naxals to retreat. However, he was grievously injured during firing and attained martyrdom
