On 13/03/2018, Party of SP Sukma and CRPF personnel out from Kistaram at about 1145 and the two MPV followed them at 1150 hrs. The MPVs had covered a distance of about 03 kms when the first MPV which was just crossing over the diversion on Kasaram Nalla was blasted with a powerful IED followed by heavy firing at both the blasted MPV as well as on the second MPV too from the right side of the road. Personnel who were in the Second MPV also retaliated to the possible extent immediately. As a result of which, CT/GD Jitender Singh Kushwaha sustained serious injuries and laying down his life in the line of duty.
