G/184806X Rifleman (General Duty) Inder Singh was part of a Battalion Training Cadre scheduled at Battalion Headquarter, Chandel with effect from 03 October 2017 to 25 November 2017. On 13 November 2017 at about 0615 hours, while undergoing Battalion physical training parade an Improvised Explosive Device blast took place adjacent to the Battalion perimeter in District Chandel, Manipur, where the individual sustained multiple splinter injuries and later succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom. Rifleman (General Duty) Inder Singh made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the Nation in the best traditions of the Force.
